Land Acknowledgement

In Situ Critical Population Health Research Group is situated in the ancestral territory of Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee. As immigrants and settlers, we recognize and respect the Indigenous Peoples and their land on which we live, work, play, and flourish. Our commitment extends to actively learning about Indigenous and alternative ways of knowledge to address systemic oppression and injustices against Indigenous Peoples, as well as marginalized individuals, populations, and communities at large. We are committed to produce anti-oppressive and justice-oriented quantitative evidence with significant political implications.

Research is a situated activity (in situ). Established in 2019, In Situ Critical Population Health Research Group investigates the intersections among natural and sociocultural environments, human behaviour, and health
